Just came back from fielding a team in the 24 Hours of LeMons this past weekend at Reno-Fernley Raceway. I was one of six drivers. Three almost passed out in the car (fortunately not me)...this race is demanding! 13.5 hours of driving over two days on a 19-turn, roughly 3 mile road course. Did one hour stints at a time.
We bought a $250 1985 944 (really), and got it all set up. Got a 301 lap penalty for some Weltmeister goodies the judges noticed underneath. Wiithout that, we would have finished 11th out of 104 teams, with making 10 driver changes (versus two for the winners). We could have won this thing! Maybe next time. Winner was a turbocharged Miata.

The racing was great, with a huge range of speeds, cars, and driver skill. The track is excellent.
Highly recommended for the racing crowd. Maybe some day we can find a 968 for $500!
