Well it's been fun, but so far the overall Porsche community has managed to suck the fun out of owning this car and it has only taken 1000 miles and since April of this year. I will probably not be spending too much time here as the future draws near - and will just continue to drive my car and repair it as needed until I get tired of the fact that the fun vs cash quotient will never equalize.
so....in the mean time, if I get an offer on my car that I can live with I think I would take it.
1994 Polar Silver Cab with Chestnut Brown interior
45,xxx miles
over 12K invested in parts / labor to restore car including new transaxle rebuilt with two year warranty
most things are new...
tires - Michilen pilot super sports - only 1000 miles on car to date.
H20 pump
all belts changed
all hoses changed
new battery
new door handle gaskets
new DME relay
new valve cover gasket
new fuel sender
odometer rebuilt with new gears
new bulbs in cluster
D1R strut tower, firewall and castor braces
new cubby hinge on center console
cogan bra
new throttle cable
new cruise cable
new thermostat
new underhood light assembly
new bumpers on gas cap
new cabin airfilter
New shift boot - still in box as of today
Vario cam inspected - in as new condition
and much more
This car has been shown much love since April of this year - car sat for 5 years in garage until my purchase and restoration..
The only negatives - small separation on leather on driver's door card - some small spots on rear dash carpet behind seats
and a few small less than 1/8 inch paint chips on front and hood and a few marks on rims. Also I only have valet key as previous owner has not yet located other keys. - only rear speakers work - I think the amp under the seat is not working or there is a blown fuse somewhere I don't know about.
$25K would buy the car today...nothing under 15K will even be responded to - I think the lowest I would take would be 20K - CASH
