we will be broadcasting this event live from both coasts over the internet - if you can't attend, you will be able to tune in on your computer and see us
the date is Saturday April 2
the event will begin at 9am Pacific Time for the west coast event - the east coast event will begin at 9am Eastern Time
contact me for directions to the west coast location - contact daryl for directions to the east coast location
i can provide the paintless dent service if enough need is there - he charges $100 a panel when there is enough work to do to justify the break - if there is only 1 car, it will likely be higher - his "standard" rate is $150 per panel
i will provide buckets, car soap, towels, and all that for washing
i will provide a buffer and orbitals for applications and such
i will provide clay bar
i will provide pads for the buffer if needed
you need to bring your own products (i.e. buffing compounds, wax, interior products, etc)
you also need to bring either a 10" slip on cover or a 6" slip on cover for use on the orbital, depending on which one you choose to use to apply your wax - i don't want to share those across different products, and i only have a few - you can get these at pep boys or any normal auto parts store

Being a new Adam's dealer and Menzerna dealer, I'll have plenty of products on hand. I plan to open up my shop for a "how to" day where people can ask questions about specific things and then we can address the question with a live demo on your car or something I have kicking around the shop. I can even demonstrate how NOT to do things by using the parts car as a "crash test dummy". In addition to paint correction and polishing techniques, wheels, rubber trim, plastic, leather, etc. can be discussed. I'll post more once I get things planned a little further.
Oh, by the way, if we try something you like, all products will be discounted for attendees. Bring a friend, as the East Coast event will not be limited to 968 owners.

What is the URL:port for the video feed? I missed it last year and since I don't do sports (read "Superbowl") I will bring the beer and nachos out for the detail day!
Stephen - wear something nice, we don't want "The Man Show"

yeah - they start 3 hours before us, so the "simulcast" part won't likely show anything at both locations until 9 am pacific
we'll post the URL as soon as daryl gets that all hooked up (he is mr "hook it up" after all)

That's a loaded question for sure. The answer is determined by what it is that you're trying to achieve. Most retail products will eliminate minor oxidation and some swirls/light scratches and enhance shine only. Higher end products (3M, Meguire's Pro Line, etc.) that you'd have to go to a real auto parts or body shop supply place to obtain will offer more corrective results with proper technique and then the pro stuff, which is usually only available online through detailing supply houses will offer the best outcome but requires the right equipment and a little more experience to use those products effectively.
If you want to kill a few hours, do some searching online at some of the various detailing sites, but remember to take a lot of what you read as many guys just blowing smoke, or give me a ring or e-mail.

Does anyone know what time the Final Four games play on the 2nd? I might be severely distracted whilst polishing...

If you are on the fence about the PDR just do it. Best $350 I ever spent. And that was with a $50 tip and paying for Kris's door. I think we had a load of cars and got an even better price last year. If it's the same guy as last year he is the Michelangelo of dent removal - just amazing.
This is a really fun event and if I can at all make it I will be there. Ken I'll PM you if it looks like I can swing it.
And if SDSU or Duke are playing, we'll need screens...
